C.A.. -March 10.—Tommy Corcoran, of Savannah. and Jack Grace, 01 New York, went on ior a twenty-round, l-’oxinjr contest for a decision before the Savfjunali Athletic Club tonight.The lighting uas all in Corcoran's favor until the middle of the sixth round, when he held up his hands and quit. Tiis left ear was hanging by a bare shred of skin. It had been practically stripped off. The ear was injured in a bout eight weeks ago, a.nd four weeks ago got a fresh tear In a bout with Owen Zeig-Icr. When Corcoran entered the ring to-night the car was in bad shape. Grace’s punches and hugging finished it. Corcoran was taken to a hospital and the ear sewed on, but it is feared he will lose it.In i!io preliminary Jack Sheehan knocked out Young Flanagan in the fifth round of a fast mill.It. was announced that Tommy Feltz had been matched to fight Johnny Rea-grgi in St. Louis, March Hist, the winner to meet Harry Forbes for tlic bantam championship of the world.
