GOELITZ IN BIG MEET*Entry of Oak Park Hurdler in National Title Tournament Reported inNew York HeraldWilliam Ritchie, who was in New1, York this week, sent a clipping from the New York Herald in reference to an Oak Park athlete who is to compete in the national indoor meet this (Saturday) night in New York for the national title. The clipping says:“The names of practically every athlete in the United States of nationalchampionship caliber are to be foundamong the entries listed for the national indoor championships, which are to be decided at the Twenty-second Regiment Armory next Saturday night. Yale, Princeton, Lafayette, Penn State, Amherst, Dartmouth, Boston College, Holy Cross, Brown, Georgetown, Meadowbrook Club, Boston A. A., Chicago A. A. and ! Illinois A. C. are a few of the most important of the out-of-town colleges and clubs that will be represented by their best athletes. * * *“A hurdler who may be expected to make trouble' for his opponents is Harry Goelitz of the Illinois Athletic Club, who recently defeated Frank and Jo Loomis in American record time. Goelitz wonthe American championship in the 120-yard high hurdles a few years ago andshortly afterward retired.
