St. Xavier College.Things have been moving quite speedily at the Avondale School during the past week, the chief item of interest being the announcement by Mr. Geoghegan that not only was the baseball schedule complete, but practically next fall’s football schedule also. In baseball the chief contests will be withMiami at Uxtord, two games with Detroitone here and one at Detroit, anda game with Ohio Northern.In basket-ball, those who were proposed as members of the latter club in recognition of their past season’s work were Hart, Cushing, Eberts, Grause, Noppenberger, Bien, Normile and Hellenthal. Action on these men will be taken at the next meeting.Word has been received at the college also, that the Inter-Collegiate English contest is to be held this month. The three possible questions, from which one shall be chosen, deal with social questions of the Quite a few entries are expected.The Sodality reports some very gratifying work on the part of its members.
