Citizens need .not be disappointed if no one goes up with the aviator here tomorrow or Sunday.He says, however, that he will show some tricks with the aeroplane that will open the eyes of the people to the possibilities r.f this wonderful new craft..One of the greatest balls ever held in the city took place at the armory last night- under the auspices of the Tacoma electricians. The building was crowded, and the decorations and electrical effects were pronounced by all to be tihe handsomest thing in that line that has ever ben seen here.The receipts from the event will lave nearly $1,000 in the treasury of the electrical workers’ union.One of the features of the evening was the flashing of candidates’ pictures in electrical display. Practically all teh prominent candidates were shown, especially for mayor, and an ovation was given tihe picture of A. V. Fawcett, and Ray Freeland also came in for a reception almost abig.• • ♦Twenty numbers were given on the program, Kelly’s complete hand furnishing the music.
