Fort DefianceThe Indians will feature some old faces in new places this season,Senior Dale Glass, an all-district first-team selection at catcher last year, will move to shortstop, taking his .458 batting average with him, Alden Frazier, last year’s third baseman as a junior, will move in behind the plate, while senior Bobby Swink will leave second base to take over in center field.Completing the mass shuffle for Fort, which finished in seventh place last year, is senior John Fowles (.311), who’ll move across the infield from first to third.One player staying put is junior hurler Mike Showalter. He was the district’s winningest pitcher last season at 7-2 and had a 3.17 earned run average. Besides Showalter, the Indians have no proven pitchers but will look to senior Matt Bowen and left-handed sophomore Brian Rankin to provide support.
