MinookaawardwinnersState wrestling champion Mark Mitchell led those receiving awards last night at the Minooka Winter Sports Banquet. Mitchell received the wrestling MVP award and the Dave DeCaste award for poise and leadership. Other wrestling awards went to Mike Mattingly for best sportsmanship and John McKendry as most improved. Larry Simotes and Dan Mason tied as the basketball team's MVP. Jack Dempasy won the free throw shooting award hitting 77 per cent for the year and the best sportsmanship award while Scott Carnahan got the most improved player award.
