Pleasant Ridge Defeats Shady Grove in Opening Game of, Tournament.The Jones county basketball tournament for the championship of the county schools started Friday at the Y. M. C. A. Two games were to have been played, Johnson vs. Whitfield, and Shady Grove vs Pleasant Ridge, but:as Johnson failed to appear the game was forfeited to Whitfield.
