The Supreme Court was not in iemion this morning and it is not exactly known when they will render their decision.It is said that the “Turners”—a German gymnastic company—hare been requested by Bar stow to organize themselves into a military band for the purpose of aiding him in resin Ling the Supreme Court, and further that the worthy acting Executive promised to furnish arms, ammunition, and all that sort of thing. But the “ Turners'' very properly declined the invitation, and Barstow is left almost helpless and alone. Poor fellow, I pity him !In Committee of the Whole, this morniug, the Assembly was occupied in a discussion upon a bill introduced by Dr. Davis, in reference to the limitations of the pardoning power. The Doctor made some neat and happy remarks in advocating the bill, and was ably seconded by Judge Potter, in a speech of some length.— Judge Kuowiton and Greulich also favored the measure, and Burchard, Farr and Mills spokeinA substitute was finally offered by Mr. Farr and alt;ioptca.The bill appropriating §800 to Free rri.r«, because he happens to be a “good Democrat,*' a friend of Baratow'e, and, nlao, because he is probably a little short of funds, which recently passed the Republican Senate, because—well, because enough Republicans were found willing to vote for it, has been referred to a select committee in the Assembly, who will report, with all duo haste, in favor of the sw indle, and though it will go through with •* Democratic” celerity, I guess Fred regrets that ho didn’t claim more chan he did.
