Mark Lezanic Wins Optimist District FinalsMark Lezanic, 10-year-old Indiana boy, took first place in the Western Pennsylvania District finals of the Optimist Club’s Tri-Star Basketball competition.In all, 96 boys were involved in the competition held at New Castle on Saturday representing 12 Western Pennsylvania Optimist Clubs.All contestants from Indiana made an excellent showing of basketball ability, but Lezanic was the only one to receive a trophy.Besides scoring high enough to take top honors in the 10-year-old age group, Mark had the highest score of any boy in any of the age groups, including 13-year-olds.He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Lezanic, 417 Fisher Ave.
