Maki heads Ail-WWIAC squadUW-Eau Claire and UW-Stouteach placed two players on the II* member All-Wisconsin Women’sIntercollegiate Athletic Conference first team.The Blugolds. who won the league title with a 14-2 record, landed Arlene Meinholz and Dawn Rattray.UW-Stout senior point guard Julie Maki was named Most Valuable Player and Scholar-Athlete Award winner and Coach Mark Thomas was chosen as Coach of the Year in a poll of leaguecoaches.The Blue Devils also landed Cindy Hovet.UW-Oshkosh led the way with three players — Amy Wing. Wendy Wangerin and Jessie Hoinacki.Maki, a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, led the Blue Devils to a 21-4 record and a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament for the second consecutive year. UW-Stout also finished second in the WWIAC, the best showing in school history. Inleading the team to a 13-3 conference mark. Maki topped the WWIAC in scoring at 24.1 points per game.
