Wachter, a graduate of old Hagerstown High and Dickinson College of Carlisle, Pa., was head coach for five: years at Carlisle High, assisted for ppe season at Dickinson, was head football, and basketball:coach five years at St.. James in Hagerstownhead coach for three years at Shore Regional High in Wdst Long Branch, N.J., and assisted for'• one season at Pennsbury High, Fallsington, Pa., near Philadelphia. This past season was high first as head coach' at South High. ‘ ;.. Dave is married to the former Roberta Snyder of Hagerstown and the couple has two children, David, 13, and Debra, 12.The North team will begin workouts shortley after - graduation,- according to NCAA regulations, at South Hagerstown High field.' Sdutb team in the AH Ghan contest will be,of course, Paul Bubbles'’ Thompson,'veteran head mentor at Bishop Walsh and LaSalle/: \ . A, ;The 1976 expanded classic ,will feature graduating seniors from Allegany and Garrett counties versus those oE Washington County . The game is sponsored annually by Ali Ghan Temple, with net proceeds going to the Shriners' Hospitals for Crippled Children.
