Of course T can fight where 1 can get the largest amount of money, but a small purse in sight is better than a large purse in doubt. It looks to mo as if California will get the battle/*Fitz is anxious to have some middle west or eastern club hid for the fight. His reasons for this arc that he can then do all his training at his present quarters at Bath Beach and the trip to the scene of the battle will be a rest-up for him. Fitz is not averse to going to the coast, but he dislikes the breaking in training the trip would necessitate. In the meantime the promoters of boing contests in. £an Francisco apparently are. trying to kill their own game. 'A report comes from here that the supervisors having refused to issue a permit to the National club for a bout, this month,.the backers of the club say they will enjoin all other clubs at meeting to bring off a contest and test the constitutionality of the statute. It is said that several different clubs are trying to get permits.
