Throe other games are already scheduled for this city. They are with Union college, MiddlebeVy college, and the Stanleys of Pittsfield.Whatever may be the opinion of the “fans” on. the relative merits of being represented by a team from the outside which has its organization under another name or by a “North Adams team’’ wbieh should be in the lt;sague, all will b«glad to have a definite announcementthat the city will be given good, fast base ball and have first class visiting teams here. The X Giants claim to be the colored champions and have thefr claim well supported by scores of past games, while their record for the past two yearB is of 22$ games won to 65 games lost.The make up of the team this season is as follows: Pitchers, William Seldsn, John Nelson, “Doc” Howard, and James Robinson; catchers, Clarence Williams and Robert Jordan; 1st base, Ray Wilson; 2nd base Sol White; 3rd base and captain, Andy Jackson; short stop, Frank Grant of Williamstown; left field, Robs Garrison. Center and right fields will be taken care of by the extra pitchers and catchers.The team will arrange for games for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and holidays. There are to be a number of strong independent teams in this part of the country with which games will be secure. Manager Da mar writes that his team will be here in first class shape and promises that the strongest dubs possible will be booked for home games.For the month of April the X Giants have games with Eastern, Atlantic, and New England league clubs, and Manager Lamar has strong hopes of securing Eastern league and possibly National league clubs tor games on off days in this city.
