James Anglican caineoni.^ *****Travelling to Grande Prairie February 23 to compete in Canadian Figure Skating Association competitions were three young local figure skaters, Brenda Ruslnek, Terry Hooke andRicky Winter.Competing In the pre-juvenile group, those who have not taken any C.FAA. figure test previously, were Terry Hooke in the girls division and Ricky Wider In the boys division.Terry Honke placed fifth out of a group of eight competitors.Ricky Winter placed second in the boys class.Brenda Ruslnek competed in the Third C.FAA. Figure Tests and placed seventh out of a field of sixteen.These Peace River skaters, undek the direction of Mrs. Mary Ann Walker, did very well in their performances when It Is considered that skaters from Dawson Creek and Fort St John have access to ice summer and winter.Year round practice in figure skating makes a noticeable difference In skating competitions.This Is the first year C.FAA. Figure Tests have been held in the Peace.*****
