Two Lower Brocket Encounters Thursday To End Second RoundA day earlier than originally scheduled, Corning and Rockbridge will square off at 7:30 o'clock tonight to reopen play in the Class B sectional tournament on the Logan High School floor.The engagement was to have opened the Thursday night card when three quarter-final games were listed.Fearing that the crowds would i be so great that some fans might be unable to get into the auditorium, tournament officials divided the card and moved the opener up one night with the permission of authorities of the Corning and Rockbridge schools. It will be the only game on the schedule.Other games Thursday night will be between Glenford and McArthur and Crooksville and Cadmus. The first game will start at 7 P. M. and the second at 8:15 P. M.Tonight’s game will pit the champions of Perry and Hocking counties. Corning is an overwhelming favorite to continue its uninterrupted march to the tournament at the expense of Rockbridge.However, some fans who are acquainted with the unpredictability of basketball, feel that an upset is not beyond the realm of possibility.In the lower bracket, Glenford is favored to turn back the McArthur Generals and Crooksville figures to hand Cadmus its first reverse of the season.Survivors of Wednesday and Thursday night’s games will meet Friday night in the semi-finals. First game will start at 7 P. M. and the second an hour and 15 minutes later.The tournament will wind up Saturday night at 7 P. M. and the second an hour and 15 minutes later.
