Seeking the posts are the two incumbents, Mayor Wilton Cornell, and D, K. Cieland, as well as Robert Erskine, merchant, and John Leggett, sanitary engineer.Both Cornell and Cieland have served on the council for the past four years. The terms of the other three members, Bob Symons, Joseph Serventi, and David Wiltsie do not expire until 1960.inson Basin. Smith, Inyo county administrator, reported thatWinter weather has halted work on the Whitney Portal road, which will be resumed about April 1. The South Lake road project bids will be advertised during May. He said that the county hopes to nave the Onion Valley road improvement bids ready by the Winter of 1958-59.
