When the battle was stopped the Dane was in n pitiable condition. One of his eyes were completely closed ant! the other parts of his face were swol len to twice their size. Besides he was tottering around the ring too weak tc, hold up his hands. This was the first time that, Nelson, since he sprang Intc the limelight In 1003 by beating Geo Menisic in Milwaukee, was beaten to a standstill at his own game of slugging He met his master at the identical style which won him the lightweight championship of the. world and atsc made him famous.Wolgaat's victory was complete and decisive.
