Races Sunday, Tuesday Here; Fireworks Display ScheduledThe hottest firecracker in Bedford and one of the finest fireworks displays in the Midwest will feature action fit the Kokmo Speedway over the Fourth of July weekend.Promoter Bill Lipkey will open the gates for his regular Sunday night agenda. . . then will offer a Ml race program of super sprints and hobby stocks, in addition to a gigantic $1,500 fireworks display Tuesday night.The gates both nights will open at 6 o’clock and qualifying will get under way at 5:30, Hie first place will be green-flagged at So’clcok.Bobby Kinser, who has been bumag around race tracks for the last few years, has won three features in a rowat the Kokomo track and can take awith a double victory here this weekend.KlNSER SHOWED up the first time two weeks ago Sunday and came away a winner. He came back for Bob De-Schamp’s production the following Wednesday, and then was the feature winner again last Sunday.Needless to say, everybody in the pits will be chasing Bobby Sunday and Tuesday nights.Who’s got the best shot at him*?Ray Kenens and A1 Barr have been giving him the best rim for his money, but Jim Elliott, who hails from Warsaw and is the defending season champ, appears capable of shoving hard, too.The super sprint program will includeisolation and a 25-lap feature both nights.The fireworks display will include both aerial shots and a sprawling ground presentation.There will be Figure-8 races both nights, too. The Figure-8 action will, obviously, have to take place following the fireworks and the clearing away of the ground fireworks frams in the infield.Lipkey now is pleading with the weatherman to be a good fellow over this long weekend.Bill and the weatherman have been on buddy-buddy terms since the first race of the neason fell victim on rain.Since then, however, it's been nothingbut good weather.A continuation of that format would
