This was a hard fought affair with the Hungrv Nine winning by a score of ti to 4. Irvine Tiede. was the winning pitcher, going the full route, as did Ray Honke for Seven Sisters. The play of the night was made bv Bob Honke of the Hungry Nine, when-Bob galloped a country mile and made a shoe string catch of a “Texas LeagU'-r that was dumped into left field. Alvin Sonakoski also made some sensational catches in right field. Seven Sisters 'plavers came up with some sparkling plavs as w.ell. with Clifford Rerrick hitting a home run. The Old Pro” lack Coyne handled the Umpire chores with not too many complaints being recorded.On Friday. June 24 the Lit Me Leaguers were in action again. This time Mr. King of White-mouth brought his team into town and won the game by a score of 10 to 5. This game featured a little more advanced type of ball, as by mutual consent both teams used a few of their over aged players. It was a dose game, however, up until the last inning when Seven Sisters pitchers ran into a wild streak and walked in a few runs. Picard. Coyne, King.
