“Swede” Perion, Former Emporia Hurler, May Pitch For the Manhattan TravelersThe Emporia Santa Fe baseball team may face an old teammate for the second time this season when they cross bats with the Manhattan Travelers at Summers field Sunday. Walter “Swede Pearson 5s now a member of the Manhattan pitching staff and may work in the Sunday game. Thompson Is listed as the other Traveler hurler. Emporia defeated -Pearson earlier when be pitched for the Canton Oilers.The remainder of the Manhattan lineup, according to a message from the team, follows: Catchers, Price and Meiisenger; Boyd, lb; Wreath, 2b; Genfcy, 3b; Almgren, ss; Blaine, If; Feathers, cf; and Flick, rf.The Travelers recently lost a 3 to 4 decision to the Bouse of David team, a club that found the Emporia team easy.The Emporians are about recovered from their slump of last Sunday when they looked bad against the Dickey Oilers.
