IMILLARD S PRIDE-THE ALL-STARSDefeats but once this season by a semiprofessional nine, the Millard All-Stars of Ottumwa, pictured above, are well on their way to establishing an excellent record of victories. They have lost but three games this year, bowing to the Des Moines Western leaguers, the House of David and the Big Muskies of Muscatine, a team they whipped in both ends of a double-header last Sunday. As they appear in the picture, reading from left to right, they are: Front row—DaveRoss, pitcher; Phil Horan, outfielder; Alvin Ross, outfielder; A1 Yacko, third baseman; “Skeets” Sauers, shortstop; Larry Irvin, pitcher. Back row—Fred Smith, club treasurer; Dick Matthews, catcher; Joe Traul,*catcher ; Earl Traul, second baseman; Johnny Koese. first baseman; Harry Ford, outfielder, and Verne McCune, manager. Dickie Smith is the chib mascot.
