Pitching fifteen years, aud still able to puzzle the best batsman.Ted Sullivan is in the south trying to sell his players. He was last beard of in Memphis, which club will take several Kansas City men.The Chicrgo team has one weak spot. It is in bad shape for pitchers. Corcoran’s arm is very sore, and he is under a physician's care who hopes to bring him into condition in a few weeks. Meantime Clarkson is doing most of the pitching, with Pfeffer and Kennedy to occasionally relieve him. If Corcoran doesn't get well and Chicago fails to pick up another twirler, Clarkson will be over-worked, aud then good-bye to the pen-ant. This was Chicagos weak spot last year, aud it was thought ample provision had been made against a re-occurrence this year, but the unforseen always happens.The Chicago league club recently induced Ted Kennedy, pitcher of the Keokuk club, of the Western league, when still in existence aud a party to the national agreement, to break his contract and play with Chicago. Keokuk has blacklisted Keunedy, aud Secretary Wickoff, of the American association, has promulgated notice thereof, which would indicate that the Americans will recognize the expulsion and side with the Keokuk club. This case, now apparently insignificant, may lead to further complications between the two great bodies. Meantime, Keokuk has begun a suit for damages againstKeunedy aud Mr. Spalding’s alleged agent, Clarke, who tempted Keunedy to jump.The Dubuques will practice sufficiently to be in good trim to meet the ^Chicago BluesJuly 4 and 5.Members of the Milwaukee base ball team, which was disbanded last Monday evening, are daily in receipt of numerous telegrams offering them positions with other teams. Behel, the left fielder, is wauted by Lucas of St. Louis, as well a3 by the Boston and Augusta, Ga., club managers. It is thought that he will go to St. Louis. Schoeek, first baseman. and Arundel, catcher, have good offers from Oswego, N. Y. Stoekweli, catcher, has signed with the New Britain, Conn., team, where Gorman, pitcher, is also wanted. All members of the disbanded Milwaukees signing contracts for the remainder of the season include a clause therein, making them eligible to sign with the Milwaukee association next season instead of being reserved by the club taking them now. This is in accordance with Manager Loftus' desire, as he is confident of securing for Milwaukee a place in the American association next year. Loftus will depart for St. Louis in a few days to confer with Von der Abe regarding this matter.
