They desi rve no such appel-lations, evidenced by the manner inwhich they handled themselves inWednesday's mime.Hendrix, who did the twirlimr foithe visitors, is an easy, graceful pitcher, and is as cool as an old veteran, liehandles himself with perfect ease, andfields his position well. lie received thephysical and moral support of the;team behind him, for the players, besides helping him all they could in theway of put outs and assists, had t he encouraging word of the “King Hooter% •every few minutes.Owing to a misunderstanding as tothe time the game would be called, ourreporter did not arrive until the game was in good headway, but on his arrival found that a strange scene wasbeing enacted—standing in the center of the diamond was a well made youngfellow w it h a sandy moustache engagedin the business of starting balls on1 heir course towards the ratchet.
