Athens committed a few errors helping Troy score their runs.For Troy, Jennings pitched to Ed Root and Bob Jenkins striking out five, walking three and giving up 14 hits off the hot Athens bats.Troy scored its runs in the second with four and tallied two in the sixth.Athens got runs in every inning, getting three, four, two, one, three and one respectively.Big hitters for the winners included Alexander with three singles, Greg Hayton with a homer and double, Jim Bennett a triple and single,Rico DellaComa had a tripleand single.For Troy, five players, Davidson, Root, Myers, Coble and Jennings had a single each.Athens is now 2-1 and play at Towanda Monday night.:
