King records shutoutThe King and His Court came to Peace River last week to show the Peace River country sports enthusiasts what softball is all about and that they accomplished.Although the score means nothing to them, they blanked the Travellers Motor Hotel club 6-0. Butch Peppler's Club played well, in fact they never committed an official error.And Brian Honke, who had the early game litters alter having the second pitch of his sail over the right field fence for a long home run by catcher Jim Herrick, pitched a great game and was in the ball game right to the end.The touring foursome got a pair of two-nm homers from first baseman A1 Jackson.Ed The King” Feigner allowed four hits to the Travellers and really amazed the large crowd of over 2,500 people with his different pitching deliveries.The King and His Court took a 1-0 first inning lead on a long home run by Jim Herrick. They added another run in the fifth when Feigner scored himself. The other runs came on two, two run homers by Jackson in the sixth inning.At the conclusion of the seven inning game, Feigner introduced the 19 different pitching deliveries he uses.
