Harrell group wins crownThe team of Howard Harrell, Bruce Cech, Peter Van Nort, Dick Hodges and Bob Marcouil-ler teamed up for a 15-under par 57 to win the Nanook Scramble golf tournament Friday afternoon.The team finished in a tie for first place with Roy Larson, Roger Nicolaus, Barbara Cole, Hank Heuvel and Clint Ragan, but won the title by virtue of matching cards.Eighteen teams, comprised of five players each, entered the tournament played at Chena Bend Golf Course on Fort Wainwright.Harris Shelton and Karen Morris won the closest-to-the-pin contest, while Lynn Immel and Craig Stout had the longest drives.The annual tournament raised more than $6,000 for the University of Alaska Fairbanks athletic department Scholarship Fund.GotfNanook Scramble Lineups At Chena Bend Golf Course Friday's ResultsH.
