‘»Prep SoccerAll-Stars AtELA SaturdayFor the first time ever, the best high school soccer players in Southern California will meet in an All-Star game at East Los Angeles College Stadium, 5357 E. Brooklyn Avenue The first annual CIF vs Los Angeles City high school senior all-star soccer game will be played at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 22.000-seat ELAC Stadium Originally, the starling time was set for 7:30 p.m., but It was changed to an afternoon game because Warner Brothers Studios plan to film the crowd for use in a new movie starring Ewel Kneivel.The CIF players will be piloted by Koger Bryant from South Torrance High School. Assisting Bryant will be Cherif Zem from Saiesian High Jim Avallone from FranklinHigh School will be the head coach for the City squad.Co-Most Valuable Players for the city, Adrian Magalion ami Mmg Yoo, will lead their teammates against Rudy Ybarra, CIF MVP, and his cohorts LA City senior players competing will be Brad Delonga, goalie from Granada Hills High School; Efrain Olivares,; goalie from Belmont; and goalle Tim Sendejas from Pali sades.On defense for the city will be Pedro Barajas, Venice; Nelson Mena, Franklin; Carlos Puche. Narbonne; and Tim Stevens. Kennedy.Midfielders are Jorge Gasca. Roosevelt; Pete Kara, Kenne dy; Co-MVP Magalion from Garfield; Felipe Mojica, Garfield and Co-MVP Yoo fromVenice.Competing at forward slots will be Rick Avila, San Pedro; Regmo Guzman, Manual Arts; Han Levy, Grant; Milton Roman, Los Angefes; and Guillermo Vega, Lincoln.The CIF squad will have Kim Linnett from Palos Verdes High School as goalie.Defense men for the CIF will be Jose Adema, Santa Barbara; June Vanzee, Claremont; Tim McElroy, South; Jale Over-gaaun. Valley Christian; and Alex Torres, Excelsior.Midfielders for the duel are Peter Guzman, Santa Barbara; Jack Rainwater, Newport Harbor; Marvin Fernandez, Chaf-fey; Ron Saldana, South; Sean Carroll, Miraleste; and David Denny, Arcadia.Competing forwards will be Tyrone Blair, Newport Harbor; Seth Chavez, San Gabriel Ruben Gutierrez, Saiesian; Raymond Heredia, Mark Keppel; Gregg Kaufman, Claremont; Tony Maggio, South; and MVP Ybarra from Santa Barbara.
