Twocaution flags, on laps eight and nine,failed to slow down the winner, as he easily outdistanced second place finisher Jack Smith and third placer Jim Towson.The cadet race went right down to the wire, with Gene Towson grabbing the early lead Monaghan took over onlap seven and fought off Towson s charges for the remainder of the race to grab the checkered flag Jack Rosier (finished third behind Monaghan and Towson.Roy Gorrell dominated the dune buggies again, winning both heats andthe feature Heat winners in the late model were Herb Scott. Mike McGuire andDick Swartzlander. Gary Bates wonthe dash.Cadet heat winners were Monaghan.
