It is the annual Little league tournament play, leading to the World Series in Williamsport, Pa.Outstanding players from the various leagues are being selected to represent their leagues as they make plans for district tournament play.Ben Slabik, administrator of District 15, has released scheduled games in his district, which is scheduled to open July 15.Honor of playing in the opening game of Area one play at Archer Manor field, 1900 S. Kilbourn ave., will go to Bridgeview and Archer Manor. Scottsdale and Burbank National play July16 and West Lawn goes against Burbank American on July 17.Defending champion Clear Ridge draws a first round bye and will face the winner of the Archer Manor Bridgeview contest on July 18 at Archer Manor field. The other two opening round victors will battle it out July 19, and the area champion will be crowned at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20.Justice Willow Springs, Archer road and 78th St., will be Xhe playing site for Area two tournament action, which will open with Town of Lake facing Ber-mele on July 15.The host team will face National Starch on July 16. Wrightwood, a first round bye team, Svill go againstpairingsthe winnlt; i of the Town of Lake-Bermele game July 17. Clear Ridge meets up with the winner of the Justice-National Starch game on July 18, and the area final game will be played at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 20.The two area winners will meet for District 15 title on July 24. Director Slabik stated the site for the final game will depend on the teams involved. Possible sites include Clear-Ridge, West Lawn and Burbank.The district champion will go on to play in the sectional tournament at the Oak Lawn Little league field.
