BY JERRY RATCLIFFE Times Sports EditorThe 1972 Appalachian League baseball season gets underway tonight, one day late, with a full slate of action scheduled.The hometown Pulsfski Phillies likewise open up their season with a scheduled doubleheader at Calfee Park, due to, last night’s rainout, with the Covington Astros.The first game will begin promptly at 6 p.m. with the nigjhtoap Immediately following, with the exception of a '15-rainute break for the players.
