IGA Goodguys Boost Lead In Fastball LoopIGA Goodguys padded their lead atop the Peace River District Men’s Fastball League last week with a 4-3 win over AGT, now tied for second spot with RCMP.The Goodguys now boast a record of five wins and only one loss for 12 points or a .857 percentage. AGT and RCMP both have three wins and four losses, while Traveller’s Motor Hotel are In last place with two wins and five losses.Three games were played last week. Besides the IGA win over AGT, RCMP nipped Traveller’s 4-2 behind the three-hit pitching of Brian Honek, and Strong Creek downed UCT 13-10.No games were played Sunday Two were rained out and will have to be replayed.The RCMP-4GA game was called in the fourth inning with the score tied 2-2. The AGT— UCT contest was called In the third with AGT leading 5-2. Both games will be replayed at a later date.The regulation game that is called because of rain in fastball is five innings. Strong Creek - Traveller’s game had previously been rescheduled and was to be played Monday at Strong Creek.Following are complete resumes of last week’s games:ance for the winners, picking up his fourth straight win of the season. Singles were hit by Bruce Lambert, Mike Yaremchuk, Fred Rheaume, Milt Woods and Keith Sheehan.UCT led by Lawrence Hawthorne who singled, doubled and tripled.
