MILLER JOINS SPRINGFIELD OF MID-ATLANTIC CIRCUITHurler Is Lost To Lima For Delphos Game Sunday But Three Other Pitchers Will Be AvailableX.fEL MILLER, Lima right-handed pitching ace, was lost to the 1 1 local club for the same tvitli Delphos Merchants Sunday when he signed Thursday to hurl for the Springfield Chicks of the Mid-Atlantic league. Milior left at once to join his new club. Miller started the season with Charleston of the same circuit, but was released two weeks ago, during which time he had pitched against the House of David and Fort Wayne Lincoln Lifes here.Alt ho Miller's pitching as well as his hitting will be missed in theapproaching encounter, three.----other hurlers have been lined up by Manager Chick Shelley. They are Lowell Wrigloy, former Ohio i State star, arid now a member ofa semi-pro team in Columbus; Tommy Reul, oi Lima, a member of the University of Chicago pitching staff this season., anti Maurice Main, of Ada, who was a member of the Springfield club of the uow defunct Central loop.One of the three is certain to start Sunday's game with the Delphos flinger scheduled to be Ray Ditto, son of Glen Ditto, the j latter formerly with Milwaukee ’ of the American Association.Sunday’s contest will be the! first of a three or five-game se-! rios with Delphos, with all games to be played here.With the absence of Miller,who hit in the cleanup position | last Sunday, the local batting or-! dor will be juggled in an effort to j gain more offensive punch, ;The visitors claim one of the strongest Delphos lineups in several seasons.The game will begin at 3 p. ni.
