Twenty-three teams participated in the Father’s Day affair.Kenny and Chris Davis successfully defending the crown they won last year as the twosome shot a 79 to win the 14-17 age division.In the 13-and-under division, Rob and Ryan Sypniewski posted a 77 to claim the victory, while the 18-and-over crown was won by Jim and Jamie Reynolds with a 79.For the one-day event, 13-and-under players played from the forward tees, ages 14-17 from the middle tees, and 18-over from the back tees.The winners in each divisionreceived plaques and all entrants were treated to hot dogs, drinks and ice cream following the awards presentation.The club's next tournamentsis the Scotch Foursome slated for Sunday with a 2p.m. shotgun start.On Tuesday, June 27, the Ladies Blue Ridge Golf Association will bring its tournament to Thorn Spring with a 9:30a.m. start and the following day the senior 'men will battle Great Oaks at Thorn Spring beginning at 10 a.m.
