Colonial and Lipns preserved the sequence in the nightcap, Colonial counting 11 times on 0 hits, while holding the Lions to 6 runs on 11 hits.Ferguson, Reichert, and Mc-Cravey led the Packers' attack with two hits for four times at bat. Harrell, Brinfcon, and McKinney paced the losers, getting a pair of bingles each.Four errors by the Lions made the difference in colonial's win. The North won 14-13 last year, and 5-4 in 1950.Jimmy Harper hurled the eighth and ninth inning for the Rebels, and preserved the victory that was credited to Clyde Lane of Sylvania.Harper gave up one hit in his two inning stint, and was tapped for one run—that one unearned..With the tiding and oh base in the ninth, Harper slammed the deor on the Yankee sluggers. Bryant Harvard, John LaW, Warren Mays, Jr., and Bobby Crawford were team members.The Tallahassee squad, sparked by John Perry’s 69, walked away with the 30-inch team trophy, posting a total of 301.Of the nine Thomasville boys entered in the individual competition, two qualified for the championship flights in their age bracket.Johnny Law’s 84 qualified him for championship play in the II-14 year category.In qualifying for 11-12 year old play, Link Forrester posted A flashy 92, second only to TeddyGhioto of Dothan, Ala., who is eight ground balls.
