June 20,—fUPi — Just before a game of baseball between the St Louis Cardinals and the House of David here, o game of “Donkey Baseball” was played between the two teams mounted on asses.All but the pitcher, ‘ho catcher and the batsmen were mounted. After hitting the ball, the batter was obliged to leap on his mount and gallop to first. Fielders were charged with fielding the ball on ass-back, dismounting. for the throw.
