The Globe and News Herald followed with announcementthey would furnish the flag. The pole, which will be about *14 feet in the clear, will cost complete about $76. It will be four inches in diameter at the base, tapering to three inches, mounted with a brass ball.The hole for the flag pole will have to be five feet deep and throe feet square. A six-inch pipe to receive the pole must be placed in concrete and protrude eighteen inches above the surface. The Joplin Supply Company also will furnish the pipe for the base.
