The germ has been injected into the local enthusiasts by Prof. J. L. Heard of Springfield, who arrived here to boost the golf game along. The links are to be located on the Mattes farm, which is situated between here and Galena.4It is understood that there are about fifty men in this burg who are J i willing to come across with twenty-five plunks apiece to put the field in proper shape.
