Baldwin teamwins tourneyThe Baldwin Liquor team from Old Shawneetown won first place last weekend at the Carrier Mills slo-pitch softball tournament.The local squad roared through thetourney competition unbeaten, downing Eldorado 2-1 in the championship game. Scores of the team’s other games in the tourney were 17-13 over Ridgway, 6-5 over Marion Glasco and 7-6 over the Old Stylers.The team also has recently placed fourth in a tournament at Crossville and took third in the Ridgway Khoury League Tourney. At present, their overall season record is 21-6.Batting averages for members of the Baldwin squad are: Rick Bard .548, Troy Hall .542, Rick Chappelle .538, Rick Milligan .455, Robert Patton .426, Herb Nunley .403, Doyle Collins .386, Bill Winters .365, John Robinson .358, Danny Case .312, Lloyd Tyer .255, Roy Seely .200 and Rex Flahardy .000.
