These will be thrown into the jail on the courthouse yard and will be released when they buy a rodeo ticket.Then Tuesday night at 8 p.m. the east side of the courthouse square willbe “do-si-do-ing” with 16 square dance clubs from all .over central Texas, with as many entertaining square dance callers. Everyone is invited to come and join in the dancing or to watch the colorful squares. There is no charge for this entertainment.Wednesday night, the free entertainment on the courthouse square will be Packer Jack Wallace and the Pflugerville 5, a musical group headed by Packer Jack’s friend on KTBC—TV, Piper Dyer (WillardDyer).Thursday at 5 p.m. the big rodeo parade will get rolling to start the official rodeo opening at 8 p.m. in theWilliamson County Sheriff’s Posse Arena in San Gabriel Park. Entertainer Charlie Walker will be the featured singer and will also be heard at the dance in the community center immediately following the rodeoperformance.The rodeo, entertainment by Charlie Walker and the community dance will be repeated both Friday and Saturday nights.Tickets to the rodeo may be purchased at Andy Prude’s Real Estate office at the corner of University Avenue and Church Street. This is the only place pre-rodeo tickets may be obtained this year, according to the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.School Citizens Committee7 County MenReportsToe In Door99Go To ArmyReporting for the school appointed Citizens Advisory Committee, Steve Almquist told the Georgetown School Trustees, “We’ve got our toe in the door now. We’ve had an organizational meeting of the 13 member committee, divided into small committees in order to thoroughly study all areas of the school, and in two other meetingshave visited all the schools.” Superintendent Jack Frost said thecommittee is very interested in the conditions and welfare of the schools and have examined them from classroom to cubbyhole.the supervising teacher. The schoolreceives $50 for each supervising teacher and the supervising teacher receives an extra $200 per year, whether she supervises one or more student teachers. The student teachers receive nothing but teachingexperience-0-Two new teachers were hired.
