The object is a season’s series of ball games between Pennsylvania railroad teams located in' Columbus, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia- Boston, Brooklyn. New York and Lognhsport Indiana, for a grand prize to be offered.The officials backing the plan to give the Cincinnati division representation in the railroad hasc'ba.ll league, will spare no money or effort to give this division good representation on the diamond. The division will be scoured for good players, who. will be transferred to the athletic department, and given good salaries to play on the, team. Other players of ability- will be offered places on the team if they take a position with the railroad, and they will he placed in positions at good salaries, so that they can play hall in the summer time, and still retain their connection with the road at steady employment when the season if* not no.
