The Chicago Union Giants (colored) and our own Brownies are battling for supremacy and the struggle is in dead earnest. It means a good deal to the team that can say, “we are the world champions, and both teams are playing the best ball they are capable of. They have one game each to their credit, and today’s game will be hotly contested. The Giants won the Chicago game by a score of 3 to 2, the. winning score being made in the-, tenth inning. Yesterday at Okobojii the Brownies won out by a score of a..to 4. These games are causing lots- Of excitement among the fans and' it all guess work as yet just who will come out ahead in the series, although those who have seen them both play predict that the Brownies will be the iina) victors. The teams go to Des Moines from here where they will play two games.
