St. Michael Bantam Bowlers Get TrophiesSt. Michael’s School Bantam Bowling league ended its 19M-65 season on June 1 with a party. Trophies and awards for the top teams and bowlers were given.Team trophies were awarded to: 1st place-TheComets - Toni Arnold, Mary J. Kanost, David O’Donnelland Sean Murphy (capt.).2nd place - The Fighting 4 - Jane Doeseckle, Brian Galvin, Joel Arnold and Robert Hewson (capt.).3rd place - The Fantastic‘*4 - Mary Shem, Tim Flanagan, Donna Szufnarowskiand Edward Kuypers.Consolation trophies werealso awarded to the lastplace team - The Fireballs-Robert Wappel, Debbie Wolfenberger, Harry Nosal and Jack Schilling (capt.).Individual trophies wereawarded to Sean Murphy and Chris Vinkler for high game, Adrian Kuypers and Nancy Heniff for high series. Robert Hewson for the highest average, and the most improved bowlers for the season were Dennis Manley and Toni Arnold.Winners of the sweepstakes awards were Jeff Gustafson and Mary J. Kanost. They were given bowling certificates for thePalos Bowl, the league home.*Sean Murphy, captain of the first place team presented the sponsors trophy to the Rev. Frank M. Coyle, pastor of St. Micahel’s church and Sister MaryLouise, O.P. principal of theschool who together with the , sisters of the school were guests of honor.
