Corporal Tommy Ortiz of headquarters Battery won the division championship in diving from the one-meter diving board in competition at North Fort Hood. A three-man relay team took second in the division's 300-meter relay competition. The three men were Pfc. Vol Davis, Private Gerald Williams and Ortiz. Davis plac ed third in the 100-meter free-style event. Ortiz picked up a third place in the 100-meter backstroke and Williams took a third in the 100-meter breastroke.
