Losing pitcher Anderson gave up only four hits but was hampered by three errors by Fehsel fielders.Five days later young Hodorowicz followed up by hurling a one-hitter againstLeRose. A single by Lacienwas the only basehit off the slants of Andy as his team won 9-1.Hodorowicz and Diddens of Ruvoli were the main hitters as the team made nine basehits. Ruvoli tallied two in the 1st and vie runs in the 2nd inning to go in front 7-0 before LeRose scored its lone run in the bottom of the 3rd inning.Swanson, relieved by Ross, took the loss. Swansonittlejeagueandtremendoushad five strike outs Hodorowicz fanned 11.Diddens had a triple and Holland a double in the Ruvoli win over Fehsel’s. Knoll of Fehsel’s rapped a two-bagger. Hodorowicz struck out five and Andersonseven.Another pitching performance was turned in by Neal Valente ot Long’s Garden Center. Neal hurled a one-hit, 10-0 shutout for Long’s over Bob Motl ChevroletLosing hurler was Jaremka who was stung by the hot bats of Andy Dentino(two triples), Harold Dennis(three basehits) and a homer by young Valente.Neal struck out 13 Motlbatters.Long’s came upwithclusters of three runs in the 2nd inning and four in the 3rd inning.Raffin outscored the Roseland Lions Club nine 8-5 by scoring all their runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning The Lions club had gone ahead 5-0 on clusters of three and two runs in the 1st and 2nd innings.Young Coffey was the winning pitcher. He relieved Thomas in the 1st inning. Coffey had nine strikeouts.Lundberg took the loss. His relief pitcher, Lusinski, struck out four.Coffey, Spagnola andKunis had doubles for Raffin. B. Gerhart was two lor-two and Lusinski had a double for Lions Club.Hakes rapped a homer for the Lions nine.
