SHAWNEETOWN 5HARRISBURG 3Shawneetown’s Midgets entertained Harrisburg at City Park Friday, June 9 and posted their third-straight win by turning back the visitors 5-3.Mike Duff and Terry Stearns shared the pitching duties for the locals, with Stearns turning in a sparkling relief job in the sixth and seventh innings. Stearns allowed only one hit and walked none in the final two innings. Duff got credit for the win while allowing one hit, walking one and fanning 12. McNew took the loss for Harrisburg.cracked a home run in the fourth inning and Stearns had a triple in the first. Tom Herrman had a bases-loaded single for the local lads and Ballard also I stroked two hits to join the | hitting parade.
