Youths Admit Wrecking ClubConfess VandalismAt Snow BowlSheriff Verne H Lamp reported at 1 p. m. Wednesday thatfive boys, ranging from se%*en to 14 years of age. were arrested and had made complete confessions of the vandalism at the LaCrosse Ski club house at thethe Snow Bowl last week.Assistant Chief Aaron Sanfordmade the arrests Wednesday, the confessions of the youths following. The •*tip which led to the arrest of the five youths was not disclosedby t*olice.The boys admitted they had broken into the ski house two days last week. Thursday a*n d Ft .day, ransacking the structure and causing damages estimated by ski club officials at $500.Iio Extensive DamageAll windows in the structure were smashed and the fumture was tipped over and broken. Dishes used in the club concession were broken and the first aid c.ibu et of the La Crosse Ski Patrol was wrecked. A piano in the building was damaged con* sidernbly, an ux being used.Discovery of the ransackingwas made Sunday afternoon by Carl Haas, who owns the property upon which the Snow* Bowl is located. Hass reported the incident to authorities and club officials. and an investigation was started by the sheriff's department Monday. City police joinedin the case Tuesday.
