Rebels Win Over Volunteers 14-4 In Sunday GameAfter Frydek and Or-chard-Wallis had to cancel out Sunday against the Scaly Volunteers and Sea-ly Rebels, is left only the Vols ad Rebs. It was their second meeting, the Rebels having taken the first 10-2, and winnig this one 14-4. Blue Schroeder picked up his third win of the year. He is now 3-0 J Necker took the loss and his record is now 2-2The Volunteers jumped quickly to a 2-0 lead. Blue Schroeder bad been hit pretty hard in the first inning In the bottom ofthe second, the Rebels chased starter J Necker. Pitcher Necker was relieved by T. Oldag, Doug Konesheck was moved to right field and Necker took second base Oldag got the Rebels out but sixruns had scored in thatinning. Oldag pitched good ball and recorded the first strike-out in slowpitch ball this yearSchoeder had the Volshitting grounders and easy flys for six innings The Vols tried to get to Schroeder on a surprise play later in the game With one out and Fox Jur-ek at third, Fox was given the green light on a pop to short left He didn't score as A Machala made the catch and cut him down at the plate It was a perfect throw and Rebel catcher Bubble Hintz protects the plate real well.First baseman, JohnBird, returned to the Rebels after having missedseveral games due to illness in his immediate family.Next Sunday these same two teams clash here and this time each should be at full strength Volunteerpitcher Emil Kocur-ek i s still on the injured-disabled list.
