CHAMP M'SHAIN BEATS JOHN NEMANIC IN STRAIGHT FALLSKinky-haired Danny McShain.world s light heavyweight wrestling champion, resorted to his customary villainous tactics at the- Sporta torium last night to subdue Johnny Nemanic ugged ex-coal miner from Colorado, in straight falls.The fans, packing the arena to the rafters, booed lustily as the champion paraded from the ring where the bloody home town favorite was stretched out cn the canvas from the final punch that gave McShain his victory.The jittery one took the opening fall in 17 minutes with a body and hammer lock combination. The second setto lasted 15 minutes, a top body pin ending the match.McShain was repeatedly warned for using illegal holds, but he managed to talk his way out of most of his trouble. All of which didn’t help Referee Otto Ludwig in winning any popularity contests around the South Third street wrestling house.It was McShsin’s first appearance in an Abilene ring in several seasons. He won the light heavywight title in Los Angeles two years ago Since that time he’s defended thehampionship several tinier and has taken a few flings at movie acting McShain plans to return to the west coast in two or three weeks for another title bout and to make a movie *hort for Metio-Goldwyn-Mayer.Pete Belcastro, a newcomer from the Canadian timberlands, and Dale Haddock, the Detroit Tiger, crowdedas much action into their semifinal match as the headliners.
