Ro||«d Autnlln IlfhUn.The fact that old Fltz comes from Australia orings to notice a striking feature about the fighters from the antipodes. Comparison proves that with few exceptions the Australian boxers are far more rugged than the Americans and last longer in the ring. At least such are the conclusions that must be drawn when we stop to consider that nearly all the old-timers in the ring to-day are from the land of the kangaroo. Bob Fitzsimmons, Dan Creedon, Joe Goddard, Frank Slavin, Billy Murphy and several others, including oeorge Dawson and Young Griffo, can be taken as examples. Dawson, who is not much younger than Fitz, may train him for his coming fight. Griffo was until a few months ago fighting every week, but is now down and out.
