Valley Speedv/ay Nev/sDrivers Vie for Points; Cycle Races ScheduledOne wild weekend of excitement is scheduled for Valley Speedway, with stock car drivers aiming to raise their point total as the season begins to peak and motorcycle racers attempt to make up for time lost last weekend.The Saturday races will see Larry Drake try to add to his 42 points in the B Class, driving Car 92. Pushing him is JimLorenz of Great Falls in No. 8, with 35 points thus far.In the A Class, Don Martin in 176 has a solid lead at 62 points, followed by Dave Falkenhagen at 42. Bill Spurlock is right behind with 40 points.Bike RacesThe motorcycle races, rained out last weekend, are set for Sunday at 2 p.m., with time trials at 1 p.m.More than 100 bikes from throughout the Northwest were on hand last weekend for the rain-out, and most of them — plus a few more — will be on hand this time.Bikes from as far away as Couer d’ Alene and Spokane will be in the event.Spectators’ RaceSaturday’s special event will feature a spectators’ race.The Valley Speedway will provide cars for people in the stands who think they can do better than the competition drivers.
